Ryan Adams


Born David Ryan Adams, 5 November, 1974, in Jacksonville, N.C., U.S. RA is an American singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and poet who plays guitar, piano and harmonica. He is best known for his solo career, during which he has released sixteen albums, and as a former member of rock/alternative country band Whiskeytown, with whom he released three studio albums.

Kevin Ayers


Born in Herne Bay, Kent, England, 16 August 1944 (died Montolieu, France, 18 February 2013). KA was a songwriter who was a major influential force in the English psychedelic movement. Founder member of the Soft Machine (1966) and associated with the Canterbury scene. He recorded 17 solo albums of lyrical and somewhat philosophical songs, and has collaborated with Andy Summers, Ollie Halsall and Mike Oldfield. He lived for many years in Deia, Majorca and then in Montolieu in the Languedoc region of France.

BC is an English rock group formed in London, in 1973 by former Free members – singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke – and Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell. They enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s. Their first three albums reached top five in the album charts in both the UK and US. Many of their singles remain staples of classic rock radio.

Syd Barrett


Born Roger Keith Barrett in Cambridge, UK, 6 Jan 1946; died 7 July 2006. SB was a singer, songwriter, guitarist and artist, who was a founder member and principal songwriter with Pink Floyd, 1966-68. Hugely influential songwriter, remembered for his quirky, poetic and often child-like, lyrics and beautiful melodies. Released two solo albums, The Madcap Laughs (1970) and Barrett (1971).

David Bowie


Born David Robert Jones in Brixton, London, 8 Jan, 1947 (died Manhattan, NYC, 10 January 2016). DB is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actor, artist and record producer. Has been active in rock music for five decades and is regarded as an innovator, constantly reinventing himself. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Has been cited as an influence by many musicians.

Cary Brothers


Born in Nashville, Tennessee on 2nd April 1974. CB is an indie-rock singer-songwriter who first gained national attention with his song Blue Eyes on the Garden State Soundtrack. He released his debut album Who You Are in 2007. His second album Under Control was released in 2010 and premiered at #1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart. He is the co-creator of The Hotel Cafe Tour and has toured worldwide with artists such as Imogen Heap, Sara Bareilles, and The Fray. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Kate Bush


Born Catherine (“Kate”) Bush, 30 July 1958, in Bexleyheath, Kent. KB is an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. Aged 19, she had a UK #1 with “Wuthering Heights”, the first woman ever to do this with a self-penned song. She has had 25 Top-40 singles and 10 Top-10 albums. She has had widespread critical acclaim for her eclectic and idiosyncratic music and theatrical performances. In 2002, she was recognised with an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. She was appointed Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 2013.

David Byrne


Born 14 May 1952, Dumbarton, Scotland. Founder member, singer and principal songwriter of Talking Heads (1976-1991). Has subsequently released his own solo recordings and worked with various media including film, photography, opera, and non-fiction. DB has received Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe awards and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Currently lives in New York City.
