The Old Guitarist, an oil on panel, was painted by Pablo Picasso in 1903, when he was aged 22. The painting resides now in the Art Institute of Chicago.
It’s sometimes referred to as The Blind Guitarist, which seemed an appropriate image for this collection of transcriptions, all of which were made by ear, or from memory. Made blind, if you will, as will be the case when all you have is the song, and your ear.
