Born Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, 18 December, 2001, in Highland Park, Los Angeles, BE is an American singer and songwriter. She began singing at a young age and gained a following in 2016, when she released her single "Ocean Eyes" on SoundCloud, and subsequently released on Darkroom and Interscope Records. The song was written and produced by her brother Finneas, with whom she collaborates.She is the first and, to date, only artist born in the 2000s to record a #1 single in the US. Eilish has eight gold and four platinum singles in the U.S. Her accolades include two American Music Awards, two Guinness World Records, and three MTV Video Music Awards. She has received six Grammy Award nominations, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist, becoming the youngest artist ever to be nominated in the four main categories in the same year.
